The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is a comprehensive, directly applicable European Union regulation establishing a harmonised legal framework for packaging and packaging waste. Its aim is to substantially reduce packaging waste, support the transition to a circular economy, and improve the recyclability and sustainability of packaging across the entire value chain.
